ECU Environmental Ratings

Why put an ECU in your vehicle that was never designed to operate in the environment you will be using it in? Our ECU’s are designed from the ground up to withstand the harsh real world environment of Off-Road Racing and Marine use that no other aftermarket system can meet of match! Meeting automotive industry standard ‘under hood’ environmental requirements for 12 volt and 24 volt systems, marine industry environmental requirements, with the vibration and heat cycle specs to water tight and sealed, with an operating depth of up to 10′ under water. Our ECU’s can do it ALL! 

The Pro128 processor at 56mhz- 9v to 32v

ENVIRONMENTAL RATINGS: Validation tests included extreme operating temperatures (-40° to +105° C), thermal shock, humidity, salt spray, salt fog, immersion, fluid resistance, mechanical shock, vibration, and EMC. It is the responsibility of the application engineer to assure that the application does not exceed the demonstrated capabilities of the unit; vibration or thermal. 

  • STORAGE TEMPERATURE: -40° to +125° C 
  • OPERATING TEMPERATURE: -40° to +105° C
  • THERMAL SHOCK: -40° to +125° C transition within 10s for 500 cycles
  • FLUID RESISTANCE: Two stroke motor oil, Four stroke motor oil, Unleaded gasoline, ASTM Reference ‘C’ fuel
  • HUMIDITY RESISTANCE: 85% humidity at 85°C for 1000 hours of operation 
  • SALT FOG RESISTANCE: 1000 hours 
  • IMMERSION: Submersible in 8% saltwater solution to 10′ 
  • MECAHANICAL SHOCK: 50 hours of 50 g’s 
  • DROP: Random drop tests on concrete from 6′ 6.11 VIBRATION: Engine mountable and tested to high-performance levels

The Pro112 processor at 80mhz- 9v to 16v

 ENVIRONMENTAL RATINGS: The Pro112 is designed for automotive, under hood and marine industry environmental requirements. Validation tests include extreme operating temperatures, thermal shock, humidity, salt spray, salt fog, immersion, fluid resistance, mechanical shock, vibration, and EMC. 

  • Storage Temperature –40 °C to +125 °C 
  • Operating Temperature –40 °C to +105 °C 
  • Thermal Shock –40 °C to +125 °C 
  • Fluid Resistance Two-stroke motor oil, four-stroke motor oil, unleaded gasoline, ASTM Reference ‘C’ fuel 
  • Humidity Resistance 90 % humidity at 85 °C for 1000 hours 
  • Salt Fog Resistance 500 hours. 5 % salt fog, 35 °C 
  • Immersion 4.34 psi test (simulated 3 m / 10 feet), salt water, 20 minutes Mechanical Shock 50 G’s, 11 ms, half-sine wave 
  • Drop Test Drop test on concrete from 1 m Vibration 

This ECM family has been successfully deployed in engine mounted applications ranging from common small displacement engines to large racing engines with extreme vibrations.
